Ijede Council Chairman Urges Youths To Apply For Nigeria Police Recruitment

The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba, has called on youths in Ijede to take the advantage of the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and apply.

In a statement by the Public Affairs Unit of the Ijede LCDA, the council said that the police service offered them the opportunity to be public servants and contribute to the development of the country.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF) are currently recruiting 50,000 constables to address security challenges, with the application deadline extended to February 8, 2026.

“The Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, is calling on Ijede youths to take advantage of the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

“This is a valuable opportunity for eligible young men and women to build a good future through public service and contribute meaningfully to the security of the nation.”

Interested and qualified applicants are advised to complete their online registration before the closing date through: https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng

Applicants for the recruitment are expected to have following basic requirements:

Applicants must be indigenes of Lagos State.

Must be between 18 and 26 years of age.

Must possess a minimum of four (4) passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO.

According to the council, registration must be completed ONLY on the approved recruitment portal: https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng

Applicants are expected to print a copy of their registration slip and guarantor forms and submit them to the chairman’s office, Ijede LCDA, after completing the online registration.
